Nambu Tekki is a Japanese cast ironware tradition dating back to the 17th century. Known for its durability, heat resistance, and elegant textures, it has been used historically for tea kettles and cookware.
In 1908, Crown Prince Yoshihito—later Emperor Taishō—visited an ironworks, which was widely reported on in Japan and expanded the popularity of Nambu Tekki.
